About Us

Dr. Scott is a native of the Upstate born and raised in the Easley area. He graduated from The Citadel in 1969. Shortly after graduating he nobly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged in 1972. Dr. Scott then attended Clemson University, where he received his preparatory courses for medical school, went on to the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated with his M.D. degree in 1977.  He completed his Family Practice Residency in Greenville, SC from 1977-1980.

Dr. Scott became board certified in addiction medicine in 2009 and received a certification in functional medicine and age management through Cenegenics in 2012.

Dr. Scott started his concierge medicine practice in 2009. His passion behind this was getting to really treat the patient not just the symptom in the healthiest way possible. Taking time to get to know the patient and their individual situation. The goal being to reduce over the counter and prescription medicines and healing naturally with the proper diet and healthier lifestyle plans. He has found this practice of concierge medicine is the most rewarding endeavor in medicine he’s experienced to date. 

His passion for health and well-being led him to then begin Younger Next Year in 2012, helping clients/patients be the best they can be. The process starts by meeting for an initial consultation to discuss the patients concerns then starting a plan of action according to each client’s specific problems. The goal being to have all his patients feel and look as young and energetic as possible. He has a passion for living life to the fullest and wants to share this with others.

When he’s not in the office you can find Dr. Scott mountain biking, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors.  Dr. Scott follows a plant-based lifestyle as he believes you are what you eat. He also enjoys cooking, reading, movies and gathering with friends.
